Description:

The KSUU Promotions and Social Media Director will plan, promote, and carry out events and create graphics for said events including live music concerts as well as promotional, and remote broadcasts. They will also work to market and advance KSUU through social media, on-air work, and coordinating the information student DJs share on air and maintaining an appropriate image in non-broadcast situations. The individual will have regular contact with the SUU STIL, SPB, University Journal, and other offices to plan and promote campus events. They will maintain current station imaging and further develop Thunder 91's visual branding packaging and work with KSUU staff members and DJs to promote KSUU, live DJ shows, events, and other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with the KSUU Production Studio, Big Thunder Podcast Studio, and Thunder 91 on-air and remote equipment.
  • Familiarity with graphic design, layout, and proficient with the Adobe Creative Cloud and other graphic design and animation software.
  • Experience organizing and planning events, creating graphics and animations for various media.
  • Experience with marketing, branding, and imaging.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to set up KSUU's remote equipment.
  • Knowledge of the FCC regulations governing underwriting and non-commercial educational guidelines.
  • Audio production and editing proficiency using Adobe Audition.
